More than just a shop, we are a destination...
... and a place where customers can take a pause from life, and just breathe! We take great care to make each and every one of you feel welcomed and appreciated when you walk through the door. If you have any questions, just ask. Craig, Andrew, Marreigh and Robyn are happy to assist in any way they can.
Every year Andrew and Craig go on several buying trips around the world. It is both exhausting and exhilarating! Here is a picture from the Jan/Feb 2017 trip to USA...
What you see in the back of the truck is just a small portion of what they will be shipping back to New Zealand ... but just those two quartz at the front are enough to make the staff back home drool!
There are always some special pieces that Andrew and Craig find on their travels, and it is the delight in those finds that keep them excited about what they do!
Giving back...
When owners, Andrew and Craig, started their business, it was important to them to not only earn a living from that business, but to find a way to honour the cycle of prosperity, and give back. When they were able to, they committed to charitable sponsorships, and as their business grew they increased the sponsorships
For many years they had had a special interest in Tibet, and had sponsored the Windhorse Trust—a local organisation providing information and support for the Canterbury Buddhist community. When the director approached them, asking if they could put up advertising in their shops, seeking individuals who would be willing to sponsor the monastery, Andrew and Craig made the decision that they could stretch their budget and sponsor the monastery themselves! A little tight at first, but business grew and prospered, and today their sponsorship covers twenty six children and teachers.
Andrew and Craig would like to thank all of their customers who generously support the donation tin on the counter at each shop, and thank each person for being a customer. You are appreciated! Your support helps Andrew and Craig to continue their sponsorships.
There is a photo album in the shop, sent by Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, so if any customer wants to know about the sponsored children, please ask to have a look.
