Buddha has left the building
23rd of October, 2017
Buddha has left the building. Bit of a loss really … we so enjoyed walking into the shop each day to see Buddha, and to feel that emanating peace. But now, someone else will have a joy of looking at that peaceful Buddha every day. We wish them, and Buddha well!
Of course, now we have a big gap!
It’s a good time to remind people that we are only 10 weeks from Christmas, and I know you all just groaned at that.
Our suggestion is, don’t leave it too late to get your gifts organised. In December, just days before Christmas we so often hear the question ‘Do you still have…?” and most of the time our reply is “Sorry, we sold that.” So, as I said, our suggestion is, don’t leave it too late.
We have a good stock of salt lamps at the moment, but these do sell quickly no matter what time of year it is. Salt lamps make a great—and inexpensive—gift. We also have some really nice inspirational stuff, the ‘warm fuzzies’ kind of gift, to let people know how much you care about them. We have expanded this range and devoted an entire section to it.
Christmas is a time of giving, and a time of celebration. It is also a time of honouring the people in your life who mean so much to you. Let them know how much you care, let them know they are cherished and appreciated. So often we meet people who feel invisible, who feel they have no value or worth in this world. We want to tell you all that you all have value, that you all bring so much to this world, and that we see you when you walk into our shop.
Every person is valuable. Every person is unique and wonderful.
We are all walking a journey, and we may not know the journey another walks, but we can be kind and compassionate towards them. We do not know the battles another faces. We make assumptions, when we should simply be kind. We judge people, when we should not. So, for the festive season, let us not judge another—not even ourself.
What we, as Inspirations, desire to do is inspire you, in a hundred different ways.
Life is beautiful when we take the time to see the beauty around us, and within us. If we choose to focus on the ugly things in life, we may miss seeing the beauty. So, for a week, look for the beauty in life, look at the beauty around you and appreciated it, and see how you feel in one week! These small things that we can do can make such a difference to our level of happiness and peace in life.
Oh, and by the way … with the departure of the Big Buddha, we have brought in a few smaller ones…
